Islam Awareness Week 2021: The Role of Religion beyond Covid

The Islam Awareness Week 2021 has already come to an end. Even though we hoped to organize it traditionally on campus, we enjoyed the result of our hard work. It was a week full of pleasure and joy. Meeting new faces and learning from them was what we aimed for. As a cherry on top bringing Muslims and non-Muslims throughout the whole country together during these two weeks was beautiful to see. Welcoming people from Groningen until Eindhoven was an honor as well.  Hopefully, in the next year, we can welcome everyone throughout the Netherlands in Nijmegen again.

With this I would like to thank all the speakers, participants and the association for taking part in these wonderful, blessed weeks. I hope all of us have had a beneficial experience from this week. I would like to see you all back in the next IAW.

Lastly, I want to thank especially my dear IAW-committee members for the hard work, the funny meetings and the wonderful result. It is always a pleasure to work with you. May Allah reward us with our hard work and may he bring us together in Paradise as he brought us in this beautiful project.

Hamed, Hagar, Khoiruz and Amal.
